Family Left Homeless Following House Fire In Hoskins

On Sunday night just before 11:00 p.m. a rural Hoskins family lost their home to a fire that completely destroyed their residence in northwestern Stanton County on 563rd Avenue.

Three members of the Aaron Gnirk family were taken to FRHS by Hoskins/Woodland Park rescue for treatment of smoke inhalation and at least one with burns.

The house was fully engulfed when firefighters from Hoskins/Woodland Park Fire arrived and they later received mutual aid from Winside and Norfolk Fire.

The Stanton County Sheriff’s office and Elkhorn Valley Public power also responded to the scene along with the Red Cross.
