On Sunday evening a 26-year- old Omaha man was clocked speeding at 118 mph in a 70 mph zone just east of Norfolk by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office.
Mario Efrain Perez-Tzunux was stopped travelling west about five miles east of Norfolk about 6:00 p.m. Perez-Tzunux was found to be intoxicated and had no driver’s license and was taken to the Sheriff’s office where his blood alcohol limit tested nearly three times the legal limit of .08. He was jailed pending the posting of an appearance bond.
On Thursday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s office arrested a 45 year old Wisner man for Driving While Intoxicated in Pilger just off Hwy 15. Brad Nokes was taken into custody and later tested nearly five times the legal limit of .08. Nokes was released from custody after posting a cash bond.
