Does a 3-7 record hurt Nebraska’s recruiting effort? – Weekly HuskerChat with Sean Callahan

Selfishly I like 11 in the morning, I can get home and have dinner and see my son, but from a recruiting standpoint we’re going to be able to get most of the guys in this week

- Scott Frost on 11:00 a.m. starts

The Nebraska Football team (3-7, 2-5 conference) faces anther B1G Ten match up this week against Michigan State. The game comes on the heels of a dominating performance over Illinois.

Even with a 3-7 record, Sean Callahan of HuskerOnline says recruiting has gone well for the Huskers.

“(Nebraska has) got 20 commits right now. They’re going to talk almost ten more, so there is a lot of work to be done,” Callahan said. “Yeah, you’d like Nebraska to play in a bowl game, but not having to worry about a six and six type bowl game could be an advantage in some respects because they can really focus on recruiting now. ”

Video: With a less than desirable record, Jayson Jorensen and Sean Callahan discuss how the season will affect the recruiting effort in 2019 and beyond.

Saturday’s game, which will serve as Senior Day, will kickoff shortly after 11:00 a.m. and can be heard on stations of the Rural Radio Network .
