The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Cedar, Thurston, Wayne, Stanton, Cuming, Platte and Colfax counties from 4 p.m. this afternoon (Friday) until noon tomorrow (Saturday). It predicts mixed precipitation with round one-tenth of an inch of ice and one inch of snow. Plan on slippery road conditions developing.
The National Weather Service has also issued a winter weather advisory for Monona, Harrison, Shelby, Pottawattamie, Burt, Dodge, Washington, Butler, Saunders, Douglas, Sarpy, and Seward counties from 4 p.m. today to noon tomorrow and a winter storm watch from Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. Blizzard conditions are possible with up to one tenth of an inch of ice and 3 to 6 inches of snow. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.
