Bond set for Cozad robbery suspect

Bond set for Cozad robbery suspect

A Cozad armed robbery suspect was arraigned in Dawson County Court Monday. Christian Poore is charged with two counts of robbery and two weapons charges in connection with incidents on September 25, 2016. Bond for the 19-year-old Cozad man was set at 10% of $250,000 and an attorney was appointed for him. His next court hearing was scheduled for December 8., 2016 at 11:15am.

Poore and 27-year-old Joseph Pittman are accused of robbing two people in a Cozad residence and two people in a Cozad motel room in unrelated incidents. Pittman has pleaded innocent and a jury trial is set for February 2017 on his charges. Poore was being sought on a Dawson County arrest warrant in the case since October 5th. He had eluded authorities until November 23rd. At 1:38pm that day, a Dawson County Sheriff’s deputy had stopped a vehicle for speeding about two miles west of Lexington on Highway 30. During the stop, the deputy check the identification of all of the occupants. Poore was a passenger in the vehicle.
