The West Point City Council voted Tuesday night to approve a $17,368,334 budget. City Administrator Tom Goulette says it’ll mean little change for taxpayers.
An agreement with the Nebraska Department of Transportation on the South Highway 275 drainage improvement project was approved. They’re still waiting for approval from the Army Corps of Engineers. Once construction begins, Highway 275 will be down to one lane with a traffic light. It’ll eventually be five lanes with a passing lane in front of the South 275 Plaza.
A resolution was approved to place stop signs on Niphon Street at the Park Street intersection.
A 5% pay increase for City employees was approved.
