As part of the fund raising effort for the West Point trail system, 61 people pledged to donate $500 for a chance to have a bench in their name along the trail.
Committee members drew the winner yesterday on the radio and the winner was Northeast Eye Care – Brandon and Jamie Ridder.
People can sponsor a bench for $10,000 but the 100- $500 Campaign raised more than $38,000.
The committee is hoping to have the trail completed by the end of the year. The loop in Neligh Park has already been paved. More than $736,000 has already been raised.
