The West Point Pool opened up for the summer on Wednesday. Manager Leah Bracht says the pool has both a shallow and deep end. “We have a deep end which is 10 feet 8 inches and 12 feet. And then we go all the way down to 3 feet in the shallow, and we have a baby pool as well which goes 2 inches deep.”
The pool also has three slides and diving boards, according to Bracht.
There are 10 minute breaks after an hour of swimming.
She adds there was a really good turnout the first two days of the pool being open.
The pool is offering Swimming Lessons this summer as well. “We offer swimming lessons starting June 4th, and then those will go throughout the summer in the morning. You can stop by and sign up for lessons anytime that we’re open,” Bracht said.
Bracht says the pool is open during the afternoon from 1:30-5:00 p.m., and from 6:30-9:00 p.m. each weeknight except Tuesday, in which the pool is open from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for family night.
Bracht adds children have to be accompanied by someone 16 years of age or older for family night.
She says the pool will be open until August 9th.
