West Point-area residents can enjoy a free PBS KIDS event and be a part of a live audience during an NET radio broadcast when NET visits Sept. 12 and 16.
On Monday, Sept. 12, from 6-8 p.m., kids and their families are invited to play PBS KIDS “Odd Squad” “O” Games and enjoy other family-friendly activities at the John A. Stahl Library.
On Friday, Sept. 16, West Point and surrounding-area residents are invited to join NET leadership at 8 a.m. for coffee and an informal community discussion at the West Point Community Theatre, Lower Level Gallery.
Following at 9 a.m., NET’s “Friday LIVE” will be broadcast live statewide from the West Point Community Theatre. The community is invited to be part of the radio show featuring music, arts, literature and events happening across the region.
Performers will include Dustin Prinz, singer, songwriter and guitarist originally from West Point and jazz performers Paul Hosford and his son, Thomas Hosford, both of Albion.
The broadcast will also highlight the West Point Community Theatre building (built in 1911); the Neihardt State Historic Site’s Beer and Limerick Festival in Bancroft and events presented by the Albion Area Arts Council and more.
