The Tekamah Chamber of Commerce presents Freedom Fest 3 on the 4th of July with activities going on throughout the day. The Chamber’s Abby Mathistad says there will be a parade among other morning activities.
Mathistad says a food fundraiser, a lunch in the park, a fundraiser for the food pantry, follows the parade as does the Classic Cruisers Car Show-and-Shine.
She adds Northridge Country Club has free open golf from noon to 6:00 p.m., and the Bryant House Museum and Burt County Museum is open from 1:00-4:00 p.m., when there will also be free swimming at the Tekamah Pool.
There will also be fire fights in the park and live music by Highway 6 at Chatterbox that afternoon.
Mathistad says there will also be food and music in the evening.
Freedom Fest extends into Saturday the 6th, and there will be a Cornhole Tournament sponsored by the Tekamah-Herman Football Team at 1:30 p.m. at Chatterbox, $20 per team, 3 games guaranteed with an 18 and under division and an adult division, according to Mathistad.
There will also be a Street Dance that night going from 7:00-midnight with music by eNVy.
