West Point residents in Ward 3 on the west edge of town near the Elkhorn River are being evacuated. West Point evacuees can seek refuge at West Point-Beemer High School. West Point Beemer Superintendent Bill McAllister says people evacuating the Third Ward in West Point should check in at the east doors to the gym. They want to keep track of who is there.  People should bring a sleeping bag is they want.  The school will have mats available. *****People with pets actually should NOT take them to the high school They should take them to the Nebraska Veterinary Services on the south edge of town and Mr. Snodgrass will house them for free, according to Superintendent McAllister.

Voluntary evacuation being called for in North Bend. Evacuees can go to the Tiger Arena (high school gym) at North Bend Central High School.

Portions of Fremont are also evacuating.
