The Arapahoe School District patrons approved passed two bond questions totaling $12.6 Million Tuesday.
Proposition A, which passed 400-278, will allow for the demolition of the high school. The elementary will be renovated to serve as the high school and the district will build a new elementary school.
Proposition B, passed by a smaller margin, 360-210. It will allow the school to build a new gym, locker rooms and extended ag. classes.
Superintendent Dr. George Griffith, who is in his first year with the district, was pleased with the Arapahoe patrons.
“I appreciated everyone that voted,” Griffith said. “It is important for everyone to do their public duty. I understand this is the third attempt at passing the bond.”
Griffith said that he feels that sometimes it takes a few attempts for school bonds to pass.
