Tax deadline fast approaching

Less than two-weeks remain for those needing to file a 2011 Nebraska Individual Income Tax Return.

Tax Commissioner Doug Ewald says about 600,000 tax returns have been received, or approximately two-thirds of the 900,000 or so returns the Revenue Department expects to receive and process this tax season. For those who still haven't filed, Ewald recommends they file electronically....

Historically, the filing deadline has been April 15, but this year it's April 17. That's because Monday, April 16 is a legal holiday.
