Road Rage Shooting Near Fremont

Fremont, Neb A truck driver from Oklahoma was arrested just after 8 Thursday night north of Fremont after he allegedly shot at a pickup driver.

Dodge County Sheriff Steve Hespin says it apparently took place after a road rage incident. The driver of the semi, 67-year-old Donald Wilson allegedly cut off a pickup getting onto U.S. Highway 77 from the Highway 30 bypass north of Fremont. The two exchanged words while driving side by side and Wilson allegedly fired a handgun out of his window.

Wilson was arrested for attempted first degree assault, making terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony and unlawful discharge of a firearm.


A drug bust in Fremont took place early Thursday morning at the Sleep Inn Motel. Sheriff Hespin tells KTIC Radio officers received a call about the smell of marijuana...but those officers found more inside the room.

Sheriff Hespin says they discovered about 10 grams of methamphetamine alongwith marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Three Fremont men ages 19 to 21 were arrested.
