Nebraska Farmer Elected to US Dry Bean Council

A Mitchell farmer has been elected to national office. Second generation farmer Wes Ullrich has been elected to a two-year term as Vice-President of the United States Dry Bean Council (USDBC) at its annual meeting last month.

Ullrich serves as a delegate on the Council representing the Nebraska Dry Bean Commission. He is also current chairman of the Commission.

The US Dry Bean Council is the trade association representing growers, shippers, canners and packagers of edible dry beans grown in the United States. USDBC works closely with USDA's Foreign Ag Service,exporters and importers to promote areas of mutual interest in the use, consumption, and marketing of US-produced edible dry beans.
