Paxton woman dies in motorcycle accident
BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) _ Authorities say a Paxton woman died in a motorcycle accident that injured her father in western Nebraska.
The Lincoln County sheriff's office says 20-year-old Rhiannon Peak, of Paxton, died in the crash Tuesday afternoon about 10 miles north of Sutherland. She was riding with her father, Vance Peak, who was being treated for injuries suffered in the crash.
The sheriff's office says the accident happened when Vance Peak apparently lost control of the motorcycle on a curve.
Rhiannon Peak was a student at Southeast Community College in Beatrice. She played volleyball and basketball for the Lady Storm.
