LMA lobbying for livestock producers in Washington
Livestock Marketing Association members and staff are in Washington for DC their annual fly in this week. Attendees will meet with legislators and legislative staff to voice the concerns and protect the business of the livestock marketing industry. 2013 World Champion Livestock Auction Auctioneer Dustin Focht will sit down with Senators and Congressman to the top issues facing livestock producers.
In a interview with KNEB/Rural Radio Network, Focht says Animal Disease Traceability, animal handling concerns from animal activists and Country of Origin Labeling are among their top concerns.
LMA has members on both sides of the fence of Country of Origin labeling, so Focht says he will represent the producer interests by relaying information to lawmakers on COOL and other key legislative topics.
