Cuming County Companies Getting Blitzed
Cuming County businesses are getting visitors Wednesday and Thursday.
County Economic Development executive director Garry Clark says the first "county-wide" business retention and expansion visits will include representatives from such community partners as Blackhills Energy, CCPPD, NPPD, NMPP Energy, West Point Chamber of Commerce and the state Economic Development office.
"We're just going to have very brief visits discussing certain things about the business and about how they can improve, expand - that's really our opportunity to keep the retention of our current businesses and make sure they're growing," said Clark.
A similar blitz was held in West Point a few years ago.
The files and information gathered are not public and are only shared with the state department of economic development for recording.
