Farmers Assessing Hail Damage To Crops

Many farmers in northeast Nebraska are still evaluating damage from this week's storms that dropped baseball sized hail on parts of the area.

It's possible some farmers may have to replant, but hopefully not many.

Insurance agents say it's a good idea to have an adjuster take a look. Crop insurance policies are issued by private companies and sold by local agents.

It's doubtful there's enough widespread damage to qualify for a disaster assistance designation which would provide emergency loans.
