Huskers lose another volleyball player

The Nebraska volleyball team announced the loss of another volleyball player from its program Monday.

"Alexa Strange has decided to leave Nebraska," said head coach John Cook. "She is returning to California and will focus on playing beach volleyball and will not be playing indoor. We wish her the best."

Last week the Huskers announced that senior Hayley Thramer will miss her senior season because of a knee injury suffered during a spring match against Wichita State.

With the loss of Strange and Thramer the Huskers are down to nine players on the roster, including sophomore Alicia Ostrander of Gordon-Rushville. Strange was the Huskers only setter, the heir apparent to All-American Lauren Cook.
