Stanton County District Court Sentences

On Monday in Stanton County District Court the following men were sentenced by District Judge Mark Johnson.

Joshua Hollum, 35, of Yankton was sentenced to one to two years in prison on separate counts of Burglary and Theft. Hollum was arrested back in 2012 by the Stanton County Sheriff's office following an investigation into a residential burglary near Pilger where more than $10,000.00 in property was taken. Most of the property was recovered and returned to the owner.

Sentenced to sixty days in jail on a charge of Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine was Jeremy Vaughn, 35, of Nebraska City. He was arrested earlier this year by the Sheriff's office north of Stanton following a traffic stop.

Chad Dietz, 34, of Stanton was found guilty of failure to register as a sex offender after he was arrested last fall by the Stanton County Sheriff's office in Stanton. Dietz was given a $350.00 fine and ordered to remain in compliance.
